How long have you been playing disc golf?

Over 3/4 of my life

How did you get your start in disc golf?
|
I picked it up because my dad and older brother Cameron liked to play. I would always be out there with them and would want to do what they did.

What do you love most about the sport?
|
I love that I get to help grow the sport and travel and meet so many cool people.
|

What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played?
|
What makes Disc Golf so cool is that you can play with your family and friends regardless of where they are in ability. Disc golf is a sport you can play with little to no money involved. There are so many opportunities to travel and check out so many cool courses near and far.

How do you approach a new course?
|
I always find there are cool holes and challenges. I am learning to trust my abilities and my discs so even if it’s a new course I can feel good about knowing I can do it.

What motivates you to continually improve your game?
|
I don’t like to talk about me but when people say nice things about how I played or what I did it makes me feel good, and I want to keep doing it. Also seeing all these pros do so well and having fun doing it keeps me at it.

What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys?
|
Making sure I snack and drink lots of water helps a lot.
|

What’s your most memorable win?
|
My first advanced win this past July. I traveled to play the Stonykill Scorcher. It poured and was windy, and I couldn’t believe I was able to travel there and play like I did.

What’s your most memorable disc golf moment?
|
Last year's Junior Worlds most definitely. What was so memorable was that all my Disc golf buddies were there cheering me on. My Disc golf buddies being there is what made it memorable! I hope to do the same for them!

|
I plan to one day play them all!

Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her?
|
There really are a lot. So many pieces of others that make up and influence who I am and what I want to be like. Zach Melton, Jonathon Ray, Marky Chapalonis from Dynamic Disc. My dad and mom for taking the time to help me and keep me motivated. All the pros who show us anything is possible.

What non-disc golf hobbies do you have?
|
I play on a baseball team in the spring and on a basketball team in the fall. I also like to mountain bike. I just started doing that more.

Any superstitions you have before or during a round?
|
Nope. I just get nervous, but a good nervous.
|

What does #NoBadRounds mean to you?
|
To me #NoBadRounds means that there is always something you can learn from any round. Good or bad you can take away as little or as much as you want. I learn something from every round I play about myself, my game, the course.

What do you love most about your FlighTowel?
|
I think it’s so cool that you can get your FlighTowel in almost any mold you want! How cool is that? Having your flight towel with the disc being in your favorite mold just adds to the awesomeness of this towel. And it’s so useful and easier to warm up!
