How long have you been playing disc golf? |
23 years |
How did you get your start in disc golf? |
I injured myself pretty badly playing Professional Indoor Soccer so I needed a different outlet for exercise. My older brother, Bruce, introduced me to disc golf and the rest is history. |
What do you love most about the sport? |
Watching the full Flight of the disc. |
What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played? |
Disc golf is an individual sport unlike all the other sports I've played being in a team. I like to conquer the course and to be able to stick to my game plan on the course. |
How do you approach a new course? |
I take notes on every course I'm going to play in an event. I'll throw multiple shots on every hole trying to figure out how I want to attack the holes. |
What motivates you to continually improve your game? |
Well, disc golf is my livelihood. I have to continue to practice so I can compete against some very talented competitors. |
What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys? |
I think of one thing at a time... sometimes I'm focused on the angle of release or making sure I follow through on my shots. |
What’s your most memorable win? |
Becoming a World Champion |
What’s your most memorable disc golf moment? |
Meeting my wife |
What are your top three favorite discs? |
Saint Pro OptoX Fuse Giant |
What are your top three courses you have played? |
The Toboggan temp course Mahr Park Edward Medard DGC |
If you could play any course in the world, which would it be? |
All of them |
Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her? |
I have so many but if I had to pick only one I would say Ken Climo. I've had the pleasure of competing against Kenny my entire career. He made me want to get better at disc golf. |
Whats in the bag? |
Giants Ballista Pro Ahti Enforcer Saint Pro Warship Bard Fuse Shield Swan Gauntlet |
What non-disc golf hobbies do you have? |
I wouldn't say it's a hobby but spending time with my family is what I do when I'm not on a course. |
Any superstitions you have before or during a round? |
Yes |
What do you love most about your FlighTowel? |
I enjoy warming up with my FlighTowel. The feel of the grip and the resistance with the towel makes for a great way to warm up. |
Is there anything else you would like to add to your Team FlighTowel profile? |
My goal is to compete in the MPO division until I'm 50 years old and hopefully longer than that. |
