How long have you been playing disc golf?

15 years, so practically my whole life.

How did you get your start in disc golf?

My father got me started in disc golf when I was 2 years old. I’ve been hooked ever since.

What do you love most about the sport?

I love the opportunity it gives me to grow as an individual and as a golfer. Anything that you want in this sport is obtainable through hard work and I absolutely love that.

What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played?

Disc golf isn’t just about being physically capable like in other sports. Every shot thrown has to be carefully thought up and executed to perfection. I love the challenge the mental game provides and that really seems to separate the sport in my mind.

How do you approach a new course?

I like to walk the hole to see what challenges it presents. Once I’ve seen what the hole has to offer, I take the shot I am most confident in executing, and hopefully that works out.

What motivates you to continually improve your game?

I’m constantly working on my game because I want to be the best. Ever since I was a kid I knew that disc golf was what I was going to do. I’ve set my goals very high and I won’t stop until I reach them.

What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys?

I focus on my breathing and being in the moment. Breathing puts my body at ease and being in the moment helps keep me focused on executing the next shot.

What’s your most memorable win?

Links on the Lake 3. It was only a C-Tier but I set the course record in the first round and then broke that record the second round. I set 2 course records in 1 day!

What’s your most memorable disc golf moment?

The 2018 GBO. I played a poor first round and came back the 2nd and 3rd round to finish in 45th at my first professional Nationals Tour.

What are your top three favorite discs?

Westside Discs War Horse Dynamic Discs Justice Westside Discs Shield

What are your top three courses you have played?

1. Timber Ridge 2. Olpe Lake 3. Brazos Park East (Beast)

If you could play any course in the world, which would it be?

Fox Run Meadows

Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her?

I would have to say Miles Seaborn. Miles was the local pro at my home course for years. He is a very consistent Texas big arm and I felt he was a great person to model my game after.

What non-disc golf hobbies do you have?

I love to workout and read. All of my outside hobbies help benefit my disc golf career.

Any superstitions you have before or during a round?

If there’s a mando, you have to walk through it or else you’ll miss it next round!

What does #NoBadRounds mean to you?

It means that no matter what, when I’m on the golf course, I’m going to be having a good time. No matter what, if you’re playing with a smile on your face, you’re where you should be.

What do you love most about your FlighTowel?

I love how easily it stores and how I can stay warm no matter what. It really helps keep me crisp on the course.

Is there anything else you would like to add to your Team FlighTowel profile?

Throw far and make putts! Be on the lookout for my name this year!
