How long have you been playing disc golf?

6 years, 3 competitively

How did you get your start in disc golf?

My dad's friend took us one day and we fell in love.

What do you love most about the sport?

Traveling to play new courses. The feeling we get from competing with and being around everyone in our local community. And showing the sport to other kids, and adults!

What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played?

I really like that it is a standalone event. Me and my dad discuss hole layout and strategy and such, but when it comes down to it, it is my skill and execution that dictate the results.

How do you approach a new course?

We have been playing long enough that I feel I really know what my Innova discs do and how they fly. So basically, I approach it like any other course and rely on my intuition on disc selection, and send it.

What motivates you to continually improve your game?

My dad mostly, I know he has put a bunch of work in getting us to this point. And so many awesome people have done so m6ch for me. The opportunity to travel to compete is enough to fuel this fire, and in the long run pushes me to play better and shoot for the moon.

What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys?

I play tournaments like fun rounds or practice rounds. They say whoever has the most fun wins. So we try to be stress free, and loose and relaxed. We focus on not making tiny mistakes and have as much fun as possible.

What’s your most memorable win?

My most memorable tournament win would have to be winning the Maine State Championship. We played the course for the first time on the first day of the tournament and won by 12 strokes over my division on 2 rounds. My best round win would have to be 3rd round at Junior Worlds. I was down 4 strokes in 2nd place going into this round. It was at Peter Pan park, I shot the hot round with a 55 and tied for first closing a 4 stroke gap. It was an 875 rated round!

What’s your most memorable disc golf moment?

Probably being announced at World's to lead off the final 9 holes amongst the top 4. Because of my hot round at Peter Plan park the day before. I lead the card and they announced my name in front of a ton of people

What are your top three favorite discs?

1.  DX Roc3

2.  Star Teebird

3.  Star Boss

What are your top three courses you have played?

1.  Maple Hill

2.  Brewster Ridge in Smugglers Notch

3.  Squamanagonic (my home course)

If you could play any course in the world, which would it be?

Jones East in Kansas

Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her?

My pro hero is Paul McBeth. I remember watching him on YouTube and he blew my mind. Ever since, I have always wanted to be like him. Oh, and my dad.

Whats in the bag?

All Innova as I am on team Innova for 2019.

What non-disc golf hobbies do you have?

Football.

Any superstitions you have before or during a round?

We do not discuss scoring. Just play each hole, keeps your mind off of it.

What does #NoBadRounds mean to you?

It means simply, you cannot have a bad if you just go have fun.

What do you love most about your FlighTowel?

Just the way it feels as you rip it a few times before you actually throw. Nothing warms you up to throw other than throwing quite like this. And you don’t have to retrieve discs.
