How long have you been playing disc golf?

18 years

How did you get your start in disc golf?

My dad and I started walking to a local course that was just up the street from my house at the time.

What do you love most about the sport?

For me, it is the community. The people of the sport make it 100% what it is. If I had not met such an awesome group of people when I started playing tournament in 2006, there is no way I would still be playing today.

What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played?

The ability to challenge yourself. Every round is a new opportunity to do something you have not accomplished before.

How do you approach a new course?

See the hole, trust the practice, throw the shot. It's just throwing a frisbee into a basket. Don't make the game harder than it has to be.

What motivates you to continually improve your game? :

The desire to stay on top in the Northwest while hopefully putting myself in position to win a DGPT or NT event one day.

What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys?

I've grown up my whole life playing sports, disc golf is no different. While of course I am there to have fun, and because I love it, the number one goal is to win every event I enter. Disc Golf is one of the few things that can keep my full focus for a whole day.

What’s your most memorable win?

I would say my first Oregon State Championship in 2014. This was when I finally realized that I could make some noise in the sport.

What’s your most memorable disc golf moment?

My first trip to USDGC. Just being treated as if you are important because you qualified. The tournament staff do such a wonderful job making each player feel special and providing us with everything we could ever need or want for the week.

What are your top three favorite discs?

1. Innova Glow "Withers" Gator

2. Innova Firebird

3. Innova Destroyer

What are your top three courses you have played?

1. Whistlers Bend

2. Farragut State Park

3. DeLaVeaga

If you could play any course in the world, which would it be?

I really want to get out to play Maple Hill.

Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her?

My disc golf hero is Steven Wright. He is the father of disc golf in the southern part of Oregon. He has taught me so many lessons on how to run events, how to handle situations and how to love the sport.

Whats in the bag?

Innova Gator, Firebird, Teebird, Stud, Thunderbird, Destroyer, Dart Discmania P2, Cloudbreaker Infinite Discs Exodus

What non-disc golf hobbies do you have?

Softball, Basketball, Fantasy Sports, Work.

Any superstitions you have before or during a round?

Nah

What does #NoBadRounds mean to you?

Enjoy all your time on the course no matter how you play.

What do you love most about your FlighTowel?

The ability to warm up with it!
