How long have you been playing disc golf? About 2.5 years
How did you get your start in disc golf? I got a lot of inspiration from My uncle who's has been playing since the late 80s. One day I decided to order a bunch of discs and a bag and off I went.
What do you love most about the sport? The community. Everyone I have met would do anything, for anyone, at any time. It really has a sense of family embedded in the sport.
What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played? Again I have to say the community and I would have to say our pros. Our pros act like normal everyday people. All of my interactions with out touring pros has been amazing. They just treat you like a person first and I admire that in our elites.
How do you approach a new course? Open mind and conservative play. Let's enjoy the course, the scenery, and play golf the way it is supposed to be played.
What motivates you to continually improve your game? I'm pretty competitive so that pushes me pretty hard. But I don't play against anyone else.  I play the course and I play myself to see if I can play better each time I hit the tee box.
What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys? Honestly, focus only has to happen in short bursts at a time. For me, if I try to be focus an entire round it gets pretty mentally draining. I take my focus 30 seconds at a time. Focus on the drive, the approach and the putt so maybe 1.5 minutes a hole. I think the real focus should be on the time we all get to spend together doing what we enjoy.
What’s your most memorable win? I started playing at the end of October of 2019 and talked myself into playing a recreational division tournament at a B Tier. Some how I ties to win and won the playoff. It was pretty intense. I was instantly hooked on that adrenaline.
What’s your most memorable disc golf moment? Purser Park Inaugural Disc golf tournament. I was on my way to Belton, TX to get some practice in for "The Open at Belton" and my buddy told me to stop by and play this tournament and we would go play Heritage after. So I show up and me and my buddy car up with two other guys and off we go. Being that it was a new park and their first tournament we had a few reporters following us. as we get to hole four we were talking about aces and the reporter turns to me and asks how many times I've "Made it in one throw" to which I reply never, because I had yet to get my first ace. She tells me good luck and walks off the tee pad. I throw my drive and immediately thing that its ob Long. Well, it wasn't. 328 feet all air right into the chains. 22 people around us and 3 reporters, it was like a touch down at a football game. Everyone screamed, I screamed ( and ran around like an idiot if I'm being honest). I even ended up in the paper. So I will have that memory forever.
What are your top three favorite discs? I'm really enjoying the Grace, the Hope Prototype and my Discmania Luster CD
What are your top three courses you have played? Top three... hmmm Eureka Perm was a lot of fun at Ledgestone, IDGC in Augusta GA, and Veterans Park here in DFW.
If you could play any course in the world, which would it be? Any of the Courses in Ireland or Scotland. I jut love that part of the world,
Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her? My Uncle, Marcus Roberts #7729. He introduced me to it many many years ago and it just never stuck.  He is so well respected both on and off the course for his sportsmanship and his goofy attitude. He is caring, compassionate, and just an overall amazing person, and I hope to be 1/4 of that to my disc golf communities
Whats in the bag? Now Mainly some Discmania and Disccraft Really loving that I can throw an open bag now
What non-disc golf hobbies do you have? I love being a father to my three amazing children and a husband to my wife. If I'm not on the course I'm probably with them and my amazing wife, who is also a 1070 rated caddy!  She doesn't play disc golf but she watches it, knows just about every pro, and makes the trip to Ledgestone with me to caddy.  We use it like a mini vacay.
Any superstitions you have before or during a round? Ummm not really. I'm pretty much the lease superstitious Irish guy ever. Unless you consider stretching and getting my music in and doing some warm up superstitious, lol.
What does #NoBadRounds mean to you? No matter where, no matter what, how good or how bad, a round of golf played is still better than a round missed. You can never have a bad round! You are alive, outside and playing nothing bad can come of it. You missed a putt? There's more! you missed the fairway? There's tons left. Just keep pushing and just keep playing but most importantly, have fun!
What do you love most about your FlighTowel? Huge backups are part of the sport. They happen. Not only does my FlighTowel keep my shoulders warm, it helps me stay in my game by checking my form after waiting extended times. Its also a really good talking point!
