How long have you been playing disc golf?

3.5 years

How did you get your start in disc golf?

My best friend disappeared for a few years playing disc golf, and the other best friend and I decided we had to try it out. From the first throw I was hooked and got a PDGA number and signed up for my first tournament within 4 months.

What do you love most about the sport?

The community is unlike any other sport out there. Everyone is so welcoming, disc golfers in the wild gravitate toward each other, and the way people support one another is unreal.

What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played?

Disc golf seems to always push me to want to do more. I love the ability to be outside in nature while always trying to improve and hone in my craft while being surrounded by friends and potential friends.

How do you approach a new course?

I've played a few tournaments blind, and sometimes it makes me play much better than at a course I'm familiar with because I play much more conservatively. I just try to break down each hole into 3 parts, and pick a landing zone I'd like to throw from next. I always try to ask a local around to ask about specific course details, and most importantly, enjoy it!

What motivates you to continually improve your game?

I love seeing small and large improvements in my game, and each improvement pushes me to make more. I'm improvement greedy sometimes.

What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys?

When I have trouble focusing I'll put one AirPod in, but never both. I still want to hear my cardmates, the sounds of nature, and the sounds of banging chains for motivation.

What’s your most memorable win?

1st place at the 2019 Brooktrails Open in Willits, CA because it has the most stunning views and held my lead for the whole tournament the first time.

What’s your most memorable disc golf moment?

My first real ace, DD Maverick hole 13 at Kelley Park in San Jose, CA.

What are your top three favorite discs?

DD Warden, DD EMac Truth, DGA Sail.

What are your top three courses you have played?

Brooktrails, Golden Gate Park, DeLaveaga

If you could play any course in the world, which would it be?

Maple Hill

Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her?

Paige Pierce - she is unstoppable and making massive moves and paving the road to bigger success for women in this sport.

Whats in the bag?

A FlighTowel, 4 DD Wardens, DD Harp, DD EMac Truth, DD Verdict, Lat64 Diamond, 2 DGA Pipelines, Streamline Lift, 2 DGA Sails, 2 DD Renegades, DGA Tempest. For really wooded course I'll usually swap some discs and bring a DD Deputy and Axiom Envy, and for really windy courses I'll bring a DD Defender and MVP Photon.

What non-disc golf hobbies do you have?

Painting rocks, video games, reading.

Any superstitions you have before or during a round?

I keep a few small trinkets from friends in my bag for good luck.

What does #NoBadRounds mean to you?

If you're not sitting inside at work and you're out on a course playing disc golf, there's no possible way it can be bad.

What do you love most about your FlighTowel?

I love that I can use it for form practice, warming up, staying warm during back ups, and still feel like I'm throwing a disc while doing towel drills. You can also use it as a towel, and the fob tucks perfectly in the bag.

Is there anything else you would like to add to your Team FlighTowel profile?

I throw ambidextrously and I'm always trying to perfect my backhand forms, FlighTowel helps me get that extra practice in! I definitely can't putt ambidextrously, but I want to start trying.
