How long have you been playing disc golf?

I've been playing disc golf for about 15 years. I played very casually for years. I didn't even know there were tournaments for the longest time!

How did you get your start in disc golf?

A couple of friends invited me out to play and I was hooked from the start.

What do you love most about the sport?

I love being outside enjoying the course with friends.

What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played?

It's a sport that can be enjoyed regardless of skill level.

How do you approach a new course?

I like to breakdown new courses by similar shot types on other courses, particularly my home courses. This helps to make a new course still feel familiar and I can throw confidently.

What motivates you to continually improve your game?

My innate desire to improve!

What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys?

I always take my 30 seconds before every shot. It helps me to get in the right mindset to focus on that shot only. I envision the shot and tell myself 'I got this'.

What’s your most memorable win?

I would have to say the 2015 Hastings Championships. It was my first win in FPO. There wasn't a big field, just two of us actually, but it was Ragna Bygde. Once we finished the last hole and she congratulated me I didn't believe her! I didn't even know I was winning.

What’s your most memorable disc golf moment?

My most memorable disc golf moment was the 2012 Disc Girls Gone Wild. It was my first big win in Advanced and I got to play the Skins match with Catrina Allen and we took the biggest skin with her drive and my putt. It was my first time meeting the top women and seeing them throw. It was a big moment for me and inspired me to want to improve and move up.

What are your top three favorite discs?

Fission Photon, Plasma Servo, and the Atom - in any plastic!

What are your top three courses you have played?

Tough question but I'll go with W.R. Jackson, Flip City, and Beaver Ranch.

If you could play any course in the world, which would it be?

I would love to play Järva Disc Golf Park.

Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her?

There are so many inspiring FPO players! But if I'm going to be put on the spot and choose someone I'll say Ragna. She moved to my hometown right before I moved up. So my first year in FPO I competed with her a lot. She always inspired me to improve and keep my head up when I was struggling.

What's in the bag?

Fission Photon, Plasma Wave, Neutron Wrath, Plasma Servo, Neutron Signal, Neutron Resistor, Plasma Theory, Neutron Axis, Neutron Matrix, Neutron Atom, Plasma Envy, Neutron Entropy, and Soft Electron Atoms for putting.

What non-disc golf hobbies do you have?

There are non-disc golf hobbies?! Between work and disc golf I don't have a whole lot of free time for other hobbies. I'm an Associate Project Manager for a commercial General Contractor in the water/wastewater industry. I am a classic movie buff though. I watch a lot of old movies from the 30's and 40's, when I have the time of course!

What does #NoBadRounds mean to you?

A bad day of disc golf is still just a good day!

What do you love most about your FlighTowel?

I love my FlighTowel! I used to use a regular towel to warm up my swing before rounds
