How long have you been playing disc golf? I've been playing disc golf consistently for a little over 2 years.
How did you get your start in disc golf? The first time I was introduced to disc golf was when one of my good friends took me about 8 years ago.
What do you love most about the sport? What I love most about disc golf is the community and being out in nature.
What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played? What makes disc golf better than other sports is the fact that a lot of the time you get to be in the woods, almost like hiking. Woods golf is definitely my favorite because of that.
How do you approach a new course? I approach a new course by playing to my strengths and throwing the shots that I know I can execute, not trying to do too much
What motivates you to continually improve your game? My motivation to continually get better is my competitiveness with myself and knowing I am capable of playing better and better.
What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys? Having my wife as my caddy definitely helps me stay focused because she's able to help me to not get frustrated with bad shots (even though I definitely do sometimes). I try to remember that I'm blessed to be able to play this awesome sport and try to have fun rather than be too serious.
What’s your most memorable win? My most memorable win was my last win in MA2. The first round was extremely rainy and windy and I was down by 3 strokes going into the 2nd round. The next day I ended up taking a 4 stroke lead in round 2 and kept that same lead through round 3 to win by 4.
What’s your most memorable disc golf moment? My most memorable disc golf moment was hitting my first ever ace. I got it at NADGT Amateur Nationals in Austin, TX in the first round with a Discmania Method.
What are your top three favorite discs? My 3 favorite discs are the Discraft Raptor, the Discraft Nuke, and the Discraft Zone.
What are your top three courses you have played? My top 3 courses I've played are Buxton Woods, Flying Armadillo DGC, and Whale Rock DGC.
If you could play any course in the world, which would it be? I would pick Maple Hill.
Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her? My disc golf hero is Paul Ulibarri. I'm influenced by him because of his humility, his faith, and his work ethic.
Whats in the bag? In my bag I've got 2 Forces, 3 Nukes, 1 Nuke SS, 2 Mantis', 2 Raptors, 1 FD3, 1 Eagle L, 2 Zones, 2 Methods, 1 Buzzz, my FlighTowel, my Bushnell Rangefinder, and 1 whalesac
What non-disc golf hobbies do you have? My biggest non disc golf hobby is bouldering (rock climbing). I've been consistently climbing for about 9 years or so.
Any superstitions you have before or during a round? No superstitions.
What does #NoBadRounds mean to you? #NoBadRounds means to me that every round I play, no matter how high I shoot over par, that I can take something from the round and learn from it to implement into my game to improve.
What do you love most about your FlighTowel? What I love most about my FlighTowel is that I can warm up my arm without having to go chase after my discs.
