How long have you been playing disc golf?

8

How did you get your start in disc golf?

My dad started playing after he got a dog and needed somewhere to take the dog for walks. He brought me out to play not too long after that.

What do you love most about the sport?

I get to make a difference being involved in running events and helping maintain my home courses.

What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played?

I was never really much of a sports playing person until I started playing disc golf.

How do you approach a new course?

If I'm playing casual I'll try to play a bunch of different shots. If I'm playing a tournament blind I just try not to get too crazy and try the shots that look like they might only maybe work.

What motivates you to continually improve your game?

My game has kind kind of taken a back seat to my focus on running events lately, but I know I have the ability to put my skills together and play consistently good disc golf and I look forward to having time to make that happen.

What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys?

Have fun even if I'm playing less than great. Don't dwell on bad shots and it won't bring the rest of your round down.

What’s your most memorable win?

I've yet to get a win but shooting two rounds in a row about 50 points above my rating at the 2019 SeaTac Open was nice. Keeping relatively consistent for 54 holes in one day is not easy.

What’s your most memorable disc golf moment?

Probably my second tournament ace, playing on a card with cool people that I know and friend on the card behind me also got to see it happen. And I kind of called the ace on a Facebook post the day before the tournament.

What are your top three favorite discs?

DGA Rift, Discraft Thrasher, Dynamic Discs Deputy

What are your top three courses you have played?

SeaTac DGC - SeaTac, WA Kaposia Park - South St. Paul, MN Riverbend DGC (Milo McIver State Park) - Estacada, OR

If you could play any course in the world, which would it be?

Järva Discgolfpark in Sweden

Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced be him or her?

Keith Lionetti, owner of the local disc shop and a major part of the disc golf community in western Washington. The amount of time he has put into work on the courses is a major influence in why I have gotten more involved in the disc golf community.

Whats in the bag?

Putters: Dynamic Classic Blend Deputy, Westside VIP Harp, BT Med Harp, Dynamic Moonshine Warden, Dynamic Fuzion Deputy Mids: Discraft Z Sol, DGA Proline Rift, Legacy Pursuit, Innova RocX3 Drivers: Legacy Patriot, Innova Banshee, Legacy Nemesis, DD Convict, Discraft Force, Discraft Thrasher, Innova Shryke, Wraith, DD Vandal, Discraft Machete Usually one or two other molds that I'm trying out

What non-disc golf hobbies do you have?

I like to watch movies. For the most part if I'm not at work or sleeping I'm probably doing something disc golf related.

Any superstitions you have before or during a round?

not really

What does #NoBadRounds mean to you?

Always have fun or always learn something. You don't necessarily have to play good to have a good round.

What do you love most about your FlighTowel?

They're super useful...great to keep warm when there are backups on the course. It's also really cool to have my event logos on all 3 towel types now.
